Our works focus on ecology, management and conservation of fish in inland waters and especially on:

  • the influence of biotic and abiotic factors influencing the composition of fish communities of waterways;

  • the interactions between alien and native fish species;
  • the reproductive biology, growth and feeding of freshwater fish species;
    • the population structure and demography of freshwater fish species;
    • the definition of indices of structure and parameters allowing the determination of standard conditions of growth of freshwater fish species;
    • the determination of the standard weight equations to estimate relative weight of freshwater fish species    .
